Here are two cards I made for a card contest this month. I had to use three stamps and the fantasy fiber. The stamps are the backgrounder, leprechaun, and Happy St. Patrick's Day. They are all from Cornish Heritage Farms stamp company. The smaller pocket card was made using a Sizzix die. The leprechaun and St. Patty's day stamps were done on Shrinky Dink paper and shrunk to fit the card. The background was embossed in clear. The pot of gold was cut by hand - no pattern used. The grass is Fantasy Fiber. The larger card was made using the backgrounder and leprechaun stamped in Versamark and embossed with emerald embossing powder. The Happy St.Patrick's Day was inked with black ink and the Fantasy Fiber was melted on top using parchment paper. I then cut out a shamrock shape and mounted on gold cardstock.

Black and White Contest

I used a purchased polka dot notecard from Michael's for the base. I then stamped the flowers, word centers, and greeting on white unlined index cards. I cut the flowers out with no border, but left a little white showing on the "hello" and "friend" centers. I then cut out the greeting into a rectangle and used a corner rounder to curve the ends. I then mounted it on black cardstock and trimmed into a mat. I wrapped black ribbon with white polka dots around the card and adhered on the front. I used pop dots from Stampin' Up to mount the greeting over the ribbon ends. Next I used pop dots to adhere the two word dots to the center of the black and white flowers. The yellow flower has a black checked puffy sticker on it. I purchased the puffy sticker from The Angel Company. The two black and white flowers were mounted to the card with monoadhesive. The yellow flower was mounted with a pop dot. All the stamps are from Wildflower Stamps.

Howdy, welcome to my new blog. Wow, this is so cool. I am new to this blog stuff, but can't wait to figure it all out and start posting my own cards and stuff.
