Happy Birthday, Savannah!

I finally got a card done way ahead of schedule! Yippee! My daughter turns 17 on Nov. 29. I can't believe my baby will be that old. Where does the time go? To make this card I used a pre-printed card by Brenda Walton for K & Company. I stamped the girl (TAC) on yellow polka dot patterned paper and colored her in with colored pencils and Turpenoid. I matted her on pink glitter paper and then again on dotted patterned paper. I stamped the greeting (Hero Arts) with blue distress ink by Ranger. I embellished the card with Stardust gel pens. I added multi-colored pastel fun yarn tied with a bow. Hope you enjoy your coming weekend. Thanks for looking.

A card for Joy

Here is the card I made for my sister-in-law, Joy, for her upcoming birthday. I used two-sided paper by Paper Salon for the card base. It is nice and thick so makes into a nice card. I stamped the greeting with mum on yellow cardstock using purple ink. I then painted the flower using Twinkling H2O's. I added clear Stardust gel pen ink to the flowers in the patterned paper as well as some on the mum that was stamped. Too bad the Stardust ink doesn't show up well in the scan. It adds a nice sparkle to the card. The stamp is by Kolette Hall designed for Studio g which I believe is sold at Michael's. Oh, yeah, I added clear Stardust ink to the lines on the patterned paper on the bottom half of the card, too.
