Sketch challenge

I finally finished my card for a sketch challenge issued by my Cool Stamping group. I used patterned paper for the large circle background. I used patterned paper for the large square. I then stamped the rose (Stampin' Up) with Versamark. I used Stampin' Up chalks and a dauber to color the rose. I then used a "love" stamp from Stampin' Up. I used white lace that I antiqued with Antique Linen Distress Ink by Ranger. The square and focal circle were also edged with the same Distress Ink. The rose circle was attached with Stampin' Up dimensionals. Hope you all like it. It was fun challenging my mind to come up with something different. Have a great night.

Welcome baby Nicholas

Here is a baby card I just made for a friend of mine. She just had her fourth baby! WOW! She now has 3 boys and 1 girl. Bless her heart. I can't imagine having 4 kids. I have my hands full with just my two LOL. I used a card sketch from Di Hickman's blog in Nov. 2007. I used patterned paper for the base. I stamped "baby"(Kolette Hall) in green chalk ink and "boy"(Technique Tuesday) in orange chalk ink. The little star(Michael's) was stamped with blue chalk ink. I cut the letters out and mounted them in a row over the paper seam. I then glued thin white ribbon all around the greeting. The baby(Printworks) was stamped on white cardstock, green patterned paper and orange scrap paper. I cut out the green sleeper and the orange teddy and glued them to the white baby image. I then used two-sided tape to attach the baby to the card. And that is it. Nice and simple.

My in-laws 52nd anniversary card

Wow! My in-laws have been married a long time. Of course, they were only 15 and 17 when they married. I look at my teens now and can't imagine them married at their age. UGH! Anyway, I made this card using a sketch from the MOJO Monday challenges through Splitcoast Stampers. I used patterned paper from Paper Pizazz and Die Cuts With a View. I used a paper doily for my focal point. I stamped the heart(Scrappy Cat) with ColorBox Chalk rose ink. I embossed it with clear embossing powder. I added little black heart jewels to the stamped heart. The hearts at the bottom were die cut using Cuttlebug dies with my Sizzix machine. Then I layered a black sheer ribbon with a rose sheer ribbon under the doily over the dotted paper. I love black and white cards with a touch of color. I sure hope my in-laws like the card.

Card for Vikki

I made this little card for a friend of mine. I used a card that is from a premade pack. I stamped my little fav snowman(Inkadinkado) with black ink. I then cut out the snowman circle and black mat circle using my Creative Memories cutting system. Then I stamped little snowflakes(Verve Visuals) randomly with Stazon black ink in the circles on the card. I added the black plaid ribbon and that was it. Cute and simple.

Jane's birthday card

Here is the card I made for a friend of mine. I just love this froggie paper by Basic Grey. I added the stamp from Stampin' Up and colored him with colored pencil and Turpenoid. The inside verse is also from Stampin' Up.

Jake's 2nd birthday

My nephew, Jake, is turning 2. I can't believe it! It seems like he was just born yesterday. Time sure does fly. Anyway, I made this card using ball stamps since the boy is nuts about balls - any kind of balls. The ball stamps are from TAC. The arrow stamps are from Autumn Leaves. The middle block with the "Look who's 2" was created on Word using fonts that I have on my computer. I just printed them in colors that matched the ink and papers. I punched the squares out using my Creative Memories square punches. I love that tool, too. Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Jenn's birthday card

Hope everyone is having a great day. Here is the card that I made my sister for her birthday. I used a card from a kit to get started. I added the winter stickers to the background. I stamped the snowman(Inkadinkado) onto a circle cut with my Creative Memories cutting system. I added glitter to the edge of the circle and to the snowman's scarf and hat.

More Christmas thank you cards

This one is ridiculously simple. I used a card from a kit and punched out 2 matting circles. I stamped on the largest circle using Verve Visuals circle set. I added the snowman sticker which came with the kit. The ribbon is from my stash.

Again, I used stickers for this card. I did make the snow at the bottom using glitter and white cardstock.

This is one of my favorites. The snowman is a sticker, but I punched out the scalloped oval using my Punch Bunch giga scalloped oval punch. The red ribbon just finishes off the card just right. The verse is a sticker, too.

This one is made of stickers, sorry. I created the oval mats with my Creative Memories cutting system. Love that tool!!! I added the ribbon from my stash.

Now this one I actually stamped - Yay! The snowman stamp is from Inkadinkado. I stamped him on white with blue Stampin' Up ink. I cut him out and added some glitter to his hat and scarf. I also added glitter to the snow which is just torn white card stock. The greeting is a sticker. The card is from a card kit.

The card is from a card kit, but the stickers and other paper were added by moi. I even stamped the greeting(TAC) and embossed it with silver.

Card kit with added ribbon.

Card kit with added ribbon and stickers.

Card kit. Sticker. And - yikes - no stamps!

More card kits. Used a sticker, too. Horrors, I know. The greeting is stamped(TAC) and embossed.

Another Christmas thank you

Here is another thank you that I made using a card kit. I added the circle mats and the cardstock across the middle. I also stamped the "thank you" circle stamp. Nice and easy. Yippee!

Christmas thank you's

I finally found time to post my Christmas thank you's. Better late than never, right? I used a card kit(cheating, I know). I did use a stamp though. The "thanks" stamp is from TAC. I added the ribbon and extra cardstock across the middle. SO the layout is my own idea. There I feel better now.

Finally, My Christmas cards

I love this paper! I believe it is Basic Grey. The stamp is from Verve Visuals. I stamped the Poinsettia ring with dye ink, but I embossed the greeting with gold. I added the red rick-rack over the seam. Nice and simple, but elegant. Gotta love those kind of cards.

Here is another card similiar to one posted below. I used the Holly Berry stamp again. Love it!

This is just another variation of the card I posted below.

Gosh, I like this stamp, too. I believe this one is from Holly Berry or Magenta. I hate that I packed up my stamps and forgot to write down what stamps I used. I just stamped this one several times with Versamark and embossed with gold. I cut out various parts and then layered them on the card. I used bling in the center. I love this Christmas paper, too.

I love this stamp, too! It is from Holly Berry. I stamped it with Versamark on several different card stocks. I then cut out different sections from each color and layered them. I used metallic gel pens to add some color and sparkle.

This is actually an older card front that I had done several years ago and forgot about. I found it this year and decided to use it. The stamp is from Stampin' Up and it is retired now. I just stamped it with Versamark and embossed in gold. I add the gold star brads to add more dimension.

I bought this unmounted stamp from a company that sells on E-bay. I already packed my Christmas stamps up and put them in the basement. Sorry, I just can't remember the name of the company. I love this stamp. It is so simple yet elegant when embossed with gold powder. The greeting is from a set I got from The Angel Company. I think this one was my favorite cards this Christmas. I colored in the gifts with metallic gel pens.

This card is just another variation of the previous card.

This one is just like the previous one. I stamped it with Versamark and embossed with gold powder. I colored it in with metallic gel pens. Sorry I don't know the company that made these stamps. They are unmounteds and silly me forgot to write on the back of them. So sorry!

I am SO late in posting my Christmas cards this year. Sorry about the delay. I am finally getting caught up with all my post-holiday busyness. For this card I stamped with Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder(sorry, I used an unmounted stamp and don't remember where I got it from). I colored in with metallic gel pens. I used gold thread to weave around the corners and edges. That's it. Nice and simple, yet looks more involved. It was an easy card to make and still get the WOW factor.
