Mojo Monday 31 entry

I finally got my card done for the Mojo Monday sketch. I have to admit I struggled with this one. I picked my DP first. I used Basic Grey's Gypsy. I have been wanting to use it so I figured this was as good a time as any. It has a very Springy feel to it. I love the bright colors. Next, I had to decide which colors I wanted to use with the patterned sheets. This is where I struggled. I finally settled on using the aqua and red for the matting and circles. I used my Nestabilities scallop circle for the largest circle and then used two smaller regular circles for the aqua and white circles. Next I tried to find a flower stamp that I thought would go with the paper. I just couldn't decide so I went with my Cuttlebug flower dies. The very center one was used on the DP to give the center more oomph. My little greeting is from TAC. That is about it. I think I may add some bling later. I haven't decided yet. Thanks for looking and have a great week.

Mustang Sarah's Blogoversary Contest 2

Here is my entry to Mustang Sarah's second Blogoversary contest which has to have paper piecing in it. I stamped my little guy(Me and my big ideas) on beige and blue cardstock first. I then stamped him on two pieces of patterned paper(DCWV). I cut out the various pieces for his clothes and glued them on the beige piece. I
added some color to his cheeks with chalk. Next I diecut the stars from beige and blue cardstock using my Sizzix machine. I stamped the saying and little star accent(Verve Visual) on the beige star. I also punched out 3 small stars. I then assembled the card. I added the white ribbon over the seam where the DP met. I added some Clear Stardust gelly roll pen to the star on the greeting. I am going to send this to a 7 year old boy named Gunner who has cancer. I hope he likes it.

Mustang Sarah's Blogversary challenge entry 1

Here is my entry for Mustang Sarah's Blogversary contest 1. I used patterned paper from SBW for all the pieces. The flower vase image is from Gina K's How Sweet It Is set. The sentiment is from The Angel Company(TAC). I used a blender pen and Stampin' Up ink to color the image. I also used a pale gray marker to make the shadow around the image. I accented the image with Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens. I added a little flower and some ribbon to finish it off. It is hard to tell in the scan but the white piece with the image on it is edged with pink ink.

The Cat's Pajama's Tuesday 01 contest entry

Here is my attempt at the Cat's Pajama's Tuesday contest. This week the challenge was to use the company's trademark colors of yellow, hot pink, black and white on a card. It was definitely a challenge for me. I finally decided to try a different technique with my cardstock. I did a corner paper weave to be different. I then added some black cardstock on top of the middle strips to break up all the pink and yellow. I stamped the kitty 3 times with black Versafine ink. I then stamped the hats on pink and yellow cardstock and cut them out. I punched 2 sizes of flowers from the pink and yellow cardstock to add to the tops of the hats. To finish off the hats I added some crystal bling in the centers of the flowers. The greeting was stamped with the Glue Pad and then white flock was added to it. The final step was to add a black and white bow to the center of the corner weave. And there you have it.
