It seems to be feast or famine with me lately. I make a bunch of cards and then I go through a drought. Today's card is a card I made for our upcoming Father's Day here in the USA. I love the sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches Challenges so I used it for my inspiration for this card. I think that masculine cards work well with CAS designs. I don't know too many men that like a lot of "froo froo" on their cards. LOL Anywho, here is the sketch and link to the challenge: http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2016/05/sketch-challenge-173.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+Cas-ColoursAndSketchesBlog+%28CAS+-+Colours+and+Sketches+Blog%29
It's a pretty straight forward card. I cut strips of patterned papers all from CTMH collections, including "Cruisin'", "Urban", and "Happy Times". Cruisin' is now retired which is the colorful strip above. The others are all current. The wood grain is in the "Happy Times" collection whick is only available this month during National Scrapbooking Month from CTMH. I cut them long and trimmed off the excess. For the stamps I used the "DAD" stamp from the "Perfect Fit - Dad" set C1542 (CTMH) with black ink also from CTMH. The "You're the best" stamp is from the "You're the best" set C1571 (CTMH) stamped in black also. Then I stamped the small "number 1" icon in Cranberry ink (CTMH) and fussy cut it out. I then taped it on as shown. And that's it. Pretty CAS - easy peasy. Thanks for stopping by.
