Happy Saturday!
I finally got around to getting a card finished for my future great-niece's birth soon. I am so happy for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law! They will make awesome grandparents. I needed a little jumpstart in my creative process so I looked for a few challenges to get me started. I knew what stamp set I wanted to use so I just had to find a sketch that would work with what I had in mind. My niece's husband loves pandas so the stamp choice was easy. I decided that the Freshly Made Sketch #244 challenge would work. I just flipped the oval so the "greeting" was on top of the oval. I also decided to enter this card into the Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #201 since it was an "anything goes" challenge. Here is the sketch from Freshly Made with the link:
And here is the link to the Addicted to Stamps and More! Challenge #201:http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.com/2016/07/challenge-201-anything-goes.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+AddictedToStampsChallengeBlog+%28Addicted+to+Stamps+Challenge+Blog%29
As for the card itself, I stayed pretty true to the sketch only flipping the sentiment to the top of the oval. I stamped and die cut the pandas, banner, and balloon(http://www.mftstamps.com/shop-by-theme/pets-animals/mstn-happy-pandas) with black ink(#CTMH and Momento). I colored the banner and balloon(#Copics and CTMH) before attaching to card. The middle panda is attached with pop dots. I added the baby's name with stamps(Stampendous) with ink matching the balloon(CTMH). Added a little bow with ribbon(CTMH) to Olivia's head and addes some sequins(CTMH). I then decided for one more detail to add a reflection to the balloon with a white gel pen. And there you have it! Can't wait for baby Olivia to arrive.
Thanks for stopping by,
Janet
