Happy New Year! I can't believe how fast 2016 flew by. Crazy, isn't it? Today I had the day off from work for MLK/Patriot's Day. I planned to get a whole bunch of cards made, but only managed to finish one. My nephew's birthday is thursday and I HAVE to get this in the mail TOMORROW! Thank goodness I already sent him is present since the card most likely will be late. Darn! Anyway, I needed some inspiration today so I checked out some blog challenges. I already had the theme in mind which is wrestling. I have some stickers to use and just found a sketch that I thought might work. I used the MOJO Monday sketch #480 found here here.
I also decided to join in with the "Seize the Birthday" challenge blog found here. It is their "welcome back" for a new year post. The theme is a birthday card "anything goes". YAY! I think a wrestling birthday card is in that category!
Now for the details. I basically followed the sketch pretty close. I used some reddish speckled cardstock from my stash (no idea who the manufacturer is) and also some white, black, slate and black chevron patterned cardstock from CTMH. The stickers I used are from The Paper Studio Stick-a-bilities. They are labeled "Wrestling Cardstock". I die cut circles using MFT Blueprints #18 dies. The greeting is from MSE (My Sentiments Exactly) called "Innies & Outies". I stamped it on the white circle with Slate ink from CTMH. The also added some gem stars from my stash. And there you have it. I sure hope he likes it. Thanks for stopping by.
