I am so happy to have another card made for class. This time I tried the "salt" technique that Kristina showed us. What a fun technique! My salting is not as apparent as hers, but I think it is because I only had simple table salt instead of sea salt. I think the finer grains are definitely more subtle. It is still fun to see the results.
Here is my card:
For some reason this technique just spoke "sympathy card" to me. I decided to use Dusty Concord Distress ink for the watercolor effect. I did this on a piece of watercolor paper(Pro Art) using my Tim Holtz water brush. I just used plain old table salt after watercoloring the paper - just sprinkled it on. My greetin is from Clearly Wordsworth "Comfort" stamp set. I stamped it with Versa Mark and then heat embossed it with Stampendous Detail White embossing powder. I punched the dove(Martha Stewart) out of white cardstock(CTMH) and put through my Xyron sticker maker. I then poured glitter(CTMH) over it and mounted it on the purple piece with foam dot. I used a white card(CTMH) base and embossed it with an embossing folder(Sizzix). I attached the purple piece with foam adhesive to the card base. And there you have it. Thanks for stopping by.
