Happy New Year! Heart 2 Heart Challenge: Tic Tac Toe

Hi everyone,

I hope that you had a safe and happy Christmas and start to the new year.  I am finally getting back into my normal routine after all the festivities related to the holidays.   Last night I realized that I needed to make my nephew a birthday card QUICK!  I keep a file on my email account for current challenges and checked to see what I could use for his card.  I decided that the Heart 2 Heart Challenge called Tic Tac Toe was just the thing to get me started.  Here is the link to the challenge:  http://heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com/2015/01/tic-tac-toe.html   The Tic Tac Toe grid line that I followed was to use a sketch, stamping and make it masculine.  Here is the grid:
I used sketch #28 on page 46 of the CTMH Make It From Your Heart Volume 1 pattern book.  I then chose to use the Superman paper kit from CTMH for all the pieces.  I used the stamp set that came with the Superman WOG kit.  I inked up the Super Kid stamp in black and stamped it on white.  I then cut it out and colored with matching markers.  I added a little glitter to the word "Super" for a little extra shine.  I then inked up the CTMH dimensional star with Sunkiss Yellow.  I then stamped "happy birthday" from the "Say it in Style" CTMH stamp set with black ink.  I then attached the star straight to the white square and the "super kid" is popped up with foam tape.  I then punched a little star from CTMH silver glitter paper and attached to the yellow star.  And that is it.  Nice and simple.  Thanks for stopping by.
