Happy New Year! I am finally finding some time to make cards. YAY! I've missed it these last few weeks. It takes a little bit to recover from all the holiday festivities. LOL
Today I wanted to join in on the fun over at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge blog. You can go over and view the sketch here: http://atlanticheartschallenge.blogspot.com/2016/01/sketch-142.html
I had fun making this card. I wanted to get a jump start on some Valentines so that is where the inspiration came from. I used CTMH papers from the "La Vie En Rose" collection. I LOVE this paper! So classic with it's black and white plus a beautiful paper full of real roses. I thought the striped black and white paper would be perfect for the little "bandit." My little racoon is from the CTMH stamp set called "Animal Greetings" and it's a special stamp set that raises money for "Operation Smile" (provides free surgeries for cleft lip/palate children in 3rd world countries). Isn't he adorable? The little saying "bandit" is just half of a stamp from the same set that says "love bandit", but I masked off the "love" part and just used "bandit" on the banner. I wanted a larger "love" for the large banner. I used the "love" stamp from the CTMH set called "February Word Puzzle" which unfortunately is now retired. I colored the little guy with my CTMH Shinhan warm grey marker and also my Copic warm grey 1. I used my Copic Lipstick marker for the nose and heart. I used a corner punch from my stash to make the big banner on top. The other banners I just eyeballed the tails. LOL For the inside I just typed up the saying on Office and printed it out. Punched a heart and glued it to the saying. I matted it and attached. Done!
Thanks for stopping by,
