Clean & Simple Card Making 2 Class - Day One

Hi everyone,
Today I started my on-line class entitled Clean & Simple Card Making 2.  We had several video tutorials from designers and then we had an assignment.  We were to use one of the sketches offered to create our own clean & simple card.  I decided to follow Julie Ebersole's sketch.   Here is my card.

I am happy with how it turned out considering that it is past my bedtime and I have to get up for work early in the morning.  I used kraft cardstock(Bazzil) for my main background piece.  I stamped the "Linen" background stamp from Stampin' Up onto the kraft cardstock using Bamboo ink from CTMH.  Next I attached the washi tape (Kamoi) to the top and tucked it around to the back.  I then stamped the "hugs" heart (Hero Arts) onto white cardstock(CTMH) with tulip ink (CTMH) and cut it out.  I popped it up with dimensional foam(Stampin' Up).  Next I stamped two small hearts from CTMH with the same tulip ink to look like the little thought bubbles to go with the "hugs" thought heart.  I attached the whole kraft piece with dimensional foam.  That is it.  Thanks for stopping by.

This is so cute!! Love the kraft and red combo and the way you turned the heart into a thought bubble!
